Energy Leadership Index (ELI) Assessment

Measure the Energy That Drives Leadership, Culture, and Performance

The Energy Leadership Index (ELI) is a research-backed assessment that measures how leaders show up — especially in moments of pressure, change, and stress.

Unlike personality or behavioral assessments, ELI measures energy: the lens through which leaders perceive challenges, communicate, make decisions, and lead others. This provides organizations with clear insight into what is truly driving performance, engagement, and culture.

What the ELI Reveals

The ELI reveals how leaders operate across seven levels of energy, highlighting patterns in decision-making, communication, emotional resilience, and leadership presence. It shows where energy may be supporting performance and where it may be draining it — offering a clear starting point for meaningful development and growth.

How the ELI Process Works

Participants complete a 20-minute online assessment that measures their energetic responses across seven levels of energy, both in normal conditions and under stress. Each participant receives a personalized report outlining their leadership energy profile, followed by a 120 minute debrief session that connects the insights directly to real workplace situations.

From there, we identify small but powerful shifts leaders can make in their daily leadership moments to increase effectiveness, engagement, and impact.

The assessment can be implemented one-on-one or in group settings. Group debriefs build shared language and alignment, while individual debriefs allow for deeper personalization.

Why Organizations Use the ELI

Organizations use the ELI to develop self-aware, emotionally intelligent leaders who can navigate pressure with clarity and confidence. It supports better communication, reduces reactivity and burnout, strengthens collaboration, and creates a common language for leadership and culture.

Because the ELI is measurable, organizations can track growth over time and clearly see how shifts in energy translate into better leadership and stronger performance.

The Business Impact

Organizations consistently experience higher engagement, improved decision-making, reduced stress and conflict, stronger trust, and more resilient leadership — creating sustainable performance that doesn’t rely on constant pressure or urgency.

“When leaders understand their energy, they lead differently.
When leaders lead differently, teams respond differently.”

Who the ELI Is For

The ELI is used by executives, people managers, leadership teams, and high-potential employees, as well as organizations navigating change, growth, or restructuring.
